Great news for Trawden

Tuesday 16 November 2021

CAMRA members in Pendle were pleased to support the community group who recently completed its purchase of the last pub in Trawden, The Trawden Arms (formerly The Rock). Over 400 people stepped forward and have become shareholders in the pub group and a few of them met up at the pub on Monday and Tuesday 15th/16th November to celebrate their achievement. Without CAMRA stepping in to secure an ACV (asset of community value) from the local Pendle Council Authority none of this would have been possible. This gave the group 6 months to secure the funding it needed and ensure the building continued to trade as a public house for the benefit of the village and beyond.

Follow their progress at www.facebook.com/Trawdenarmsmorethanapub and start planning your visit now to support all involved. Cheers!
