Campaign for Real Ale

Branch Social *FULLY BOOKED*

Sunday 24 November 2019

*Update* We've had confirmation that the club will be open from 2pm, so those of you lucky enough to know where it is you can make your own way there yourselves. Alternatively meet up in the Casked Ale House & Ginporium beforehand and then we’ll make our way there by taxi and blindfold anyone who’s not been there before (part of that may not be true)

Want to visit an 19th wooden club which has no electricity and is still powered by gas light? It’s called the Kimberley Club somewhere in the Rossendale Valley, in a location we cannot divulge to keep its exclusivity. Even the locals don’t know where it is, or they’re not telling. Legend has it that it was carried to its present location up the hill overlooking the valley, and would you believe they only got toilets 1999, just 65 years after getting planning permission!

Intrigued? Excited? You should be. Not many have the opportunity the visit and Pete Clegg has secured us 20 places *which is now fully booked* We’ll be getting taxis from the Casked Micropub in Rawtenstall at 1:40 so meet up there before or get left behind.
