Long standing chairman John Sandiford has brought it to the committees attention the inaugural meeting of East Lancs CAMRA was held on December 10th 1974 at the George Inn in Blackburn.

Sadly the George is no longer a pub but we will be having a celebration at the nearby Postal Order on Sunday 15th December from 1:30pm.

We have invited people who were at the original meeting, as well as other guests who have been part of real ale scene around East Lancashire over the last 50 years.

Let's hope to have as many people as possible together for this special occasion.
